What is the value of a college degree to music performance majors?

Friday, March 9th, 2012
6stringStudent asked:

At Berklee College of Music you can save $4000 a year if you just want to take music classes and bypass the liberal arts requirements. The trade-off is that you get a whimpy certificate instead of a real degree. Would that be a burden on me in the real world?

What college degree would help me get a good job the easiest?

Sunday, February 26th, 2012
asked:

I’ve heard a lot of stories from friends of mine who got an associates degree and then basically had a piece of paper and 40,000 dollars in debt. They went to ITT Tech and the University of Phoenix, and while I don’t plan to attend either of those, I want to be sure that whatever degree I get doesn’t turn out to be useless. I was planning on majoring in creative writing and game design, but what are the degrees that can guarantee me a job after college?

college degree?

Monday, February 20th, 2012
mikej2390 asked:

I am a freshman in college and want to switch my major to history and minor in political science..i started out as a business major just because my family said it would be a good major and i figured i would make good money right out of college…but i quickly found out that i hate the business major…i like poly sci better but my school only has a minor available for political science so thats why i would major in history and minor in poly sci…the thing is if i major in history i don’t want a career in history…i love learning about history and political science but i don’t want to be a teacher or work in a boring museum…what are some realistic careers with a degree in history and minor in political science?..and does this mean ill be poor for the rest of my life if i major in this?..because i realize sometimes employers think history majors don’t have the education to work for large corporations…could i get a job in law?…any help or suggestions?..i would really appreciate it

Should I go to college or try to become a Millionaire without a college degree?

Friday, January 20th, 2012
Hans asked:

I don’t know if I should go or not. I’m very interested in investing and business. I live at home and have a job and I’ve been saving all my money from it. Should I just keep the job and try to invest the money and get my own business started on my own, or should I go to college and get a degree? I just don’t want to waste money on a degree if its not really going to be worth it, and a lot of Millionaires/Billionaires don’t even have college degrees.
