How To Make Money Online Without Having A College Degree

Sunday, June 28th, 2009
Carael Knight asked:

So is it really possible to make money online “without” a college degree? Have you ever wondered if it is possible to make money online by working from home? Have you ever wondered how good of an income is possible when you do it online?

How does a seven figure income sound? Are you now wondering how people “make money online?”

Statistics show that there are approximately 6.6 billion people in the world. Every nation on Earth has internet access including developing countries. Yes, there really are people in countries with unsafe drinking water who see the same web as people in industrialized nations.

In America, 75% of the population has regular access to the internet. Even if only half the world has access to the internet, 3.3 million potential customers are enough for anyone. The world market is big enough to share.

There are a variety of ways to make money online. All you need is a little creativity, a computer with internet access, desire and most importantly, guidance. When most people try to do this, they boot up their computers, pull up a web browser and get the virtual equivalent of writer’s block.

It seems a little crazy, doesn’t it? There is no ticket taker at your log in page asking for money. You know your ISP isn’t sharing part of your monthly payment with John Doe Business Owner. With a few exceptions, you are not asked to fork over a credit card number when you visit a website. How can people do this when nearly everything seems free?

Once you start to make money online from the comfort of your own home, you will not want to stop. Once you get a taste of the freedom of being your own boss, you will never go back to making someone else richer.

Believe it or not, most internet millionaires did not recieve any kind of special certificate, special training or any kind of degree whatsoever for making a lot of money online. All they did was followed a system. A proven system. I am pretty sure that you have heard the old saying,”systems don’t fail, people do.” This is one of the most basic fundamental principles to follow if you would like to make a lot of money online.

Can anyone really make a million a year income online? The answer is yes!

You see, when it comes to the internet, there is literally an endless supply income profit potential. Here is a big piece of advice that someone once told me when I was a “newbie” to the internet world, “never let anyone tell you that you need a degree to make money online”. There are more and more studies of kids (that’s right, kids) such as 15-17 years old raking in thousands a week! The internet is now a powerful medium in making millions online.

Now, don’t get me wrong, it used to be that you needed a college degree to make any sort of decent amount of income on the net but not anymore. The reason behind this is that individuals are becoming equipped with all types of tools, software and resources on the internet that they are exposed to. The biggest thing that would stop an ordinary person from making the income an extraordinary person makes online has “nothing” to do with a degree.

Want to know what it has to do with? You ready? Come in a little closer and I’ll whisper it to you, targeted traffic. You need a LOT of it. If you concentrate on building your “targeted traffic”, you are well on your way to making a million a year without a college degree.

U.s. Falls Behind Rest of World in College Degree Attainment

Sunday, June 21st, 2009
Jeff Mictabor asked:

The United States continues to lag behind other major industrialized nations in the percentage of the population with a college degree, according to a recent series of studies released by the Making Opportunity Affordable project.

Although currently ranked tenth among industrialized countries in the percentage of 25–34-year-olds already holding an associate’s degree or higher, the U.S. ranks near the bottom in the percentage of entering students that are completing their degree program. In fact, the U.S. now stands as one of the only countries where older adults are more educated than younger adults.

A 16-Million College Degree Gap

At current college graduation rates, by 2025, the U.S. will be 16 million college degrees short of the 64 million it would need to match leading nations Canada, Japan, and South Korea at 55 percent of adults with a college degree. To make up the gap, the U.S. would need to produce an additional 781,000 college graduates a year — a 37-percent increase over current levels.

Only eight states are currently on track to reach the level of educational attainment needed by 2025 to compete with the best performing nations and meet workforce demands.

College Affordability an Issue

The studies contend that college affordability has created an accessibility issue, as more lower- and middle-class families struggle to deal with rising college costs. Fewer low-income students are enrolling in college, and a large percentage of college students are graduating with record levels of debt.

According to the Trends in College Pricing 2006 report by the College Board, tuition and fees at four-year public universities have risen 24 percent over the past five years, and 32 percent over the last 10, even when adjusted for inflation.

Today, the average student borrower at a public college or university owes $17,250 in student loans; 10 years ago, the average borrower attending a public institution graduated owing only $8,000 in student loans, after adjusting for inflation.

The studies propose that in order to expand the percentage of its adult population with college degrees, the U.S. will need increase college accessibility for low-income students, as well as for other groups that have been generally underserved in higher education.

Finding Free Money for College That Doesn’t Have to Be Repaid

With the College Cost Reduction Act of 2007 that went into effect on October 1, Congress, as part of an effort to boost college affordability, raised Pell Grant award limits. To be considered for a federal Pell Grant, students simply need to submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Qualifying students will be awarded a Pell Grant as part of their financial aid package.

Millions of other private, institutional, and local scholarships are also available to students each year, both with and without regard to income. Students can often use scholarships to reduce their need for student loans.

Online scholarship databases at NextStudent.com can help students in their scholarship search. This Scholarship Search Engine, for instance, lists over 5.9 million individually awarded scholarships worth over $16 billion, and is completely free for students to use.

Affordable College Borrowing With Low-Cost Parent and Student Loans

With student loan debt on the rise, Congress also acted on student loan interest rates in the College Cost Reduction Act, cutting interest rates in half on need-based subsidized federal student loans over the next five years.

However, even if students don’t demonstrate enough financial need on their FAFSA to qualify for subsidized student loans or a Pell Grant, they may still be able to obtain low-cost, low-interest federal college loans.

Unsubsidized Stafford student loans are available to both undergraduate and graduate students without a credit check or demonstration of financial need. As long as they’re enrolled at least half time, students may defer payments on their Stafford student loans until six months after graduation.

Low-interest, credit-based federal college loans are also available to qualifying parents of undergraduates to help them cover up to 100% of their child’s cost of attendance.

Private Student Loans Available Year-Round

Even after grants, scholarships, and college loans, some students may have education-related costs that exceed their available federal financial aid. For these students, non–need-based private student loans may provide the additional financial assistance they need.

However, since federal student loans generally offer more attractive terms than private student loans, students and their parents should always look into their federal financing options first.

Why You Should Get A College Degree

Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Paul Hata asked:

A university education is one of the best possible ways to insure your earning power upon graduation. There are all kinds of fields and all kinds of majors, some paying higher than others but as a rule, college graduates will earn more money over the course of their lifetimes than those who do not have a college education or degree.

We live in a world that increasingly demands more of its citizens. We need to have the ability to hold academic conversations on the corporate level that go well beyond the score in last nights basketball games.

Companies want well-rounded employees that epitomize all the great things that a four-year degree has to offer. For this reason, even those who have laboured in order to gain an associate’s degree are getting left behind in favour of those who have a more complete four year bachelor degree education.

If you have already entered the work force there is still the time to increase your earning potential by seeking higher education. Colleges and universities today are offering more options for students wishing to return to college than ever before.

In fact we are seeing an increasing number of college students that are classified as non-traditional students. We are seeing many more adults returning for the education they didn’t receive the first time around, which is good news. It also means that more and more options are becoming available at night and on the weekends for those adults.

Even better is the fact that more and more often we are seeing courses being offered online for those who are seeking to complete their education. This allows even more options for those students who are desperately trying to balance careers, family, and education. As more and more opportunities such as these arise we will also see a growing number of graduate studies opportunities being offered in a similar fashion.

If you are thinking of returning to school after years of absence or perhaps attending for the very first time while managing an existing career there is no time like the present in order to do so. Not only will a college education give you greater earning potential in your lifetime it can also qualify you for promotions within the company for which you currently are employed.

The truth of the matter is that you really can’t go wrong when it comes to going back to college and getting or finishing your degree. You can increase your earning potential, your promotion potential, and most importantly your self-image.

There is something about having a degree that makes you feel better about yourself and your ability to provide for your family. Even if you never actually use your degree for anything other than a plaque on the wall, you will have the knowledge that you accomplished something that only a small percentage of the population ever gets around to completing.

If nothing else, your college education is worth every penny you will pay in order to have it for the wonderful sense of accomplishment that goes along with getting it. Your college degree won’t make you a better person; just give you a better opinion of yourself as a person in many instances.

If you need a confidence booster in your professional and your personal life, getting your college degree is often just the bump of confidence you need in order to accomplish many great things.

Is there a way to get a legitimate college degree from life experience?

I have a lot of college credits from three universities and a lot of professional experience, and four years in the Navy. Is there a school that will tie that together and confer a degree that is readily acceptable?
